If it doesn't then go to task manager and close it, and then try starting it again. You could also try running the game from Uplay. i did all of that and not a single AC game works, its not even running in the background , it says on steam that im playing the game 2 seconds later it says im online 1 Restart your computer and launch Steam. 2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu. 3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files button. 4. Iknow about texture flickering, already fixed it by adding _0 like in guide. Ireinstalled this game after having it not installed on my laptop for a while and noticed that on several occasions when I tried to play the game, the screen would shake and flicker. It seemed that the only remedy was to restart my laptop. Googling the problem proved to yield a bunch of unhelpful stuff, except for one thread that said that the problem could be yVBDs5e.
