It has been on my list for about 6 years now, as the field of view with the stock mirrors is horrible. Now I've read about the superiority of the rectangular VT1100 mirrors as expressed by @oldguy and knew he was right.

Howdy folks, I just found a 1984 Honda Shadow 750 for $600 with about 12000 miles that I am considering taking a look at. Do any of you have experience with this bike. The seller states that the bike needs a new battery, an oil change, and carb tune. I will be taking a friend who is a retired master mc mechanic with me to help evaluate the bike.
