For starters, HIDs have a much longer lifespan than halogen bulbs. By most accounts, HID headlights last at least 2,000 hours, and in some cases, they can last as long as 8,000 hours. Compared to the 1,000-hour peak life of halogens, HIDs keep lighting and lighting โ€” to paraphrase a famous battery tagline.
What are Bi-Xenon Headlights? In a typical xenon headlight, a xenon bulb is used for the dipped beam and a regular halogen bulb is used for the high beam. This is because of the extremely bright nature of xenon bulbs, to prevent dazzling of other road users. However, bi-xenon headlights use a xenon bulb for both the dipped and high beam functions.

The headlights (xenon) are working fine, but when I turn on the high beam, the high beam is not working. It is a bi-xenon headlight. When turning on the high beam, I got the blue icon on the dash that high beam is activated.

As I mentioned in the original discussion, the high beam on bi-Xeon has two solinoids. When you call for highbeams, the one solenoid flips the shield open, then the second one holds it open. Maybe the cecm module is sending the first signal and not the second. Do a vagcom scan to see if it can shed some light on issue.

They've not been any quotes for these other bulbs but on the bi-xenon which already works? Looking at the diagram - Skoda Halogen Twin Headlights WithGas Discharge Bulb 5L2941018C - LLLParts. I count x6 bulbs in total part 5 - Gas discharge lamp D1S-12V35W => This is the bi-xenon light used for both dip lights and high beam lights
Hi folks, Joined the forum to ask some advice on a project I'm working on. I have fitted bi-xenon projectors in my car that used to use a two bulb set up for the high/low beams. The low main beam halogen bulb has been replaced by an HID bulb and comes on with the usual switch and the high beam
The warning on the display is "Check Low Beam Lights". The first two are unlikely to occur but could happen and the latter is most likely as both circuits are out at once. KyODo.
