I have noticed on my 2008 Shadow Aero that when I am on the interstate and cruising at our speed limit which is 70mph, the bike feel like it is a it's top rpm(in 5th gear). I give it more throttle to pass, and it seems to struggle. the bike is solid. Is this just a limit on the 750cc in term of power. I am not a speed demon. I am just asking I love my 09 Honda Spirit 750. I was concerned about it being too big for me for my first bike, but I believe it is perfect for me. Easy to control, light weight, BEAUTIFUL! I love this bike. And very reliable. My friend bought a used Harley, I bought a new Honda. In addition to the boulevard S-40 and Vulcan 500, I am curious about the shadow 750 and the vulcan 750 as options for a newbie. IG lists them as “beginner friendly”. I’m curious of anybody has any first-hand experience with either of these bikes. I think a lot of people will say that a 750 for a beginner bike is not optimal due to many
the SS750 will have no problem going 70-75 2 up on flat hard surfaces, providing it is properly maintained. I've driven mine, alone, at 90-95 with no problems and at 75 2 up with no problems. The only problem with the speed is my wife doesn't like us to go that fast so we usually cruise 55-65 on back roads. Reply Like.
