I'm playing a hat in time with a friend on my ps4 and I have no idea how to activate split screen (if it's even possible) theres no split screen but there is coop, just turn on the second controlelr and then press options and turn on coop mode. What do you mean there is no split screen but there is co-op?
Now before you click new game you should see something that says Profile and then whatever the users name is in the top left corner. Next to this you should see something that says “press options to join.”. If you whit options on your second controller you should be connected in. Now go and start a new story. XbHz.
